LAHORE: Police issued its investigation report regarding the firing incident on the residence of Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan in Lahore.
The report concluded that a stray bullet hit the upper part of the house’s gate.
Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan’s house came under attack as multiple gunshots were fired at his residence two times.
Gunshots were fired twice at Justice Ijaz’s house–once during the previous night and again on Sunday morning.
Crime Scene Investigation Unit of Punjab Forensic Science Agency reached the scene and collected evidences from the crime spot.
Clauses of terrorism and attempt to murder charges have been included in the First Information Report against unidentified persons.
A joint investigation team has been formed to investigate firing on the residence Supreme Court judge Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan. The investigation will be headed by DIG Investigation Sultan Chaudhry.
The judge was a member of the bench that ruled that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif could not become party chief after his disqualification.
He was also a member of the bench during the Panama Papers reference.
