Video: Nurses thrash doctor who allegedly harassed them

MIRPURKHAS: Nurses subjected a doctor to intense thrashing on Monday after he allegedly sexually harassed them at a hospital in Mirpurkhas. 

According to details, senior doctor Ramesh Kumar was beaten severely by female nurses at the Civil Hospital in Mirpurkhas after he allegedly harassed them.

Taking notice of the incident, Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal ordered action to be taken against the doctor following which he was taken into custody by police.

"We went to the CS's office on Monday to complaint about the doctor," said a female nurse. "I was assured that an inquiry would take place against him. Ever since then I have been receiving threatening messages and calls telling me to take the inquiry back."

However, when no action was taken against the doctor, the nurses resorted to handling the matter themselves and gave the doctor a severe thrashing.

The PMA has threatened to go on strike against the treatment meted out to the doctor. In response, nurses have also threatened to protest against the incident.
