KARACHI: Did the apex court send a message to others who are criticising senior judges with the Nehal Hashmi disqualification verdict?

Editor Digital Properties, SAMAA, Mr Omar R. Quraishi and Shahjahan Khurram discuss whether the verdict was rather too harsh considering the fact that Nehal Hashmi had tendered an unconditional apology to the court a few days ago.

"I can't think of any instance where a sitting member of parliament has been sent to jail for 30 days after he tendered an unconditional apology," said Omar Quraishi."Some people are wondering whether this is a message for the Sharifs to not expect leniency from the courts in the cases they are facing."

The two members also discussed how the opposition welcomed the decision of the apex court with regard to Nehal Hashmi while some even stated that this was a light sentence for the senator.
