ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif – criticizing judges – said that using words such as thief and robbers for an elected leader is a disgrace to their office.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chairman made the statement while speaking to media outside the Accountability Court on Thursday.
“Is there any difference difference between the language being used by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan?” he asked.
The Sharif went on to say that people have to listen to their voice of conscience.
Commenting on Sharif’s statements, Pakistan Awami League (AML) President Sheikh Rasheed said that the former premier wishes to go to jail.
He said that Sharif is not willing to hand over power to someone else.
The AML President further said that the country will not survive if there is no military and judiciary. He said, “The enemy of the military and judiciary is the enemy of Pakistan. – SAMAA
