LAHORE: Pir Hameed ud Din Sialvi is to address a rally at Data Shrine in Lahore to renew his demand for the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.

Sialvi is leading a caravan of hundreds of devotees from his hometown to Lahore. He will be joined by the leadership of Pakistani Sunni Tehreek and Tehreek-e-Labaik Ya Rasool Ullah in Lahore.

“We will set a deadline for the Punjab government and if our demands are not met, we will call for a nationwide protest,” Sialvi told SAMAA.

On the other hand, security has been beefed up at Data Darbar where Pir Sialvi is due to arrive later in the evening.

More than 3, 000 policemen will be deployed at the Sufi shrine.

All roads leading to the shrine have been blocked by placing containers. - SAMAA
