LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, has urged Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah to step down, holding them responsible for Model Town ‘massacre’.

Qadri demanded it while addressing his party’s All Pakistan Lawyers Convention in Lahore today.

He chaired the convention and highlighted 2014 tragedy in Lahore’s ModelTown area in the light of Justice Baqir Najafi’s report.

Qadri claimed that he can invite both the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on the same table whenever he wanted.

He warned that the sit-in arranged this time will be their last. “All parties in opposition assured to give their support,” the PAT chief said.

He declared the Model Town incident report of Justice Baqir Najfi as nature’s revenge.

He reaffirmed the stance of his party that both Shahbaz and Rana Sanaullah ‘are responsible for killing innocent people’ in the Model Town incident.

He called upon the PML-N leaders to step down. - Samaa
