0550 pm: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said a steering committee was formed with representatives from all political parties to draft the resolution.

The resolution was drafted by PPP's Qamar Zaman Kaira, the PTI's Shafqat Mehmood and Jahangir Khan Tareen, Sheikh Rashid, PML-Q's Chaudhry Zaheerud Din, JI's Amirul Azeem, Wasim Aftab of PSP, and representatives of the JUI-S, JUI-P and Muslim Conference of Sardar Atiq.

According to the joint resolution, the deadline for resignation of Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah has been extended to January 7.

APC condemns the attempt to amend the law of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat.

The resolution says people were wounded and killed in Model Town on June 17, 22014 on mere pretext of removing of barriers to the effect that 14 people lost their lives.

The resolution says the people who were killed were the common citizens of the state. And, the responsibility to get justice for all these victims is incumbent on everyone.

The bereaved families of Model Town martyrs could get only the report of Baqir Najfi Commission in three years.

The resolution says the acquisition of justice and a fair trial is wholly impossible in the presence of those at the helm of affairs who were behind the massacre.

If Punjab Chief Minster Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah do not tender their resignations by the deadline, then the APC’s steering committee will convene an emergency meeting on January 8 to hammer out the future line of action.

The resolution also demands all provincial assemblies and Senate to adopt the resolutions demanding the resignations of the duo.

The APC demands the Chief Justice to take notice of the incident and institute a JIT under the supervision of a judge to probe the incident.

The resolution also demanded no NRO should be given to the Sharif family as the nation will not accept any extra-constitutional relief.
