Protesters pelt stones at Chaudhry Nisar’s house in Faizabad

ISLAMABAD: Protesters from religious parties on Saturday pelted stones at the house of former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the wake of the Islamabad crackdown. 

According to details, a police mobile vehicle was deployed at Nisar’s residence. Angry protesters hurled stones at the house of the former interior minister.

A heavy contingent of police personnel is deployed inside Chaudhry Nisar’s house.

Islamabad police retook Faizabad Interchange after clearing protesters on Saturday, after launching an operation against protesters that left more than 100 people injured.

As many as 135 people were injured in the operation which took more than five hours. Several vehicles were burnt and a police officer was martyred in the incident.

Protests broke out in various cities throughout Pakistan after the crackdown began.
