KARACHI: Leaders of the PPP were apprehensive of the recent MQM-P and PSP alliance on Thursday, casting doubts that it was a conspiracy.
"When were they ever two separate entities?" asked Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and senior PPP leader Khursheed Shah. "Muttahida cannot inflict any damage on PPP even after it is united," he added.
Former minister and senior PPP leader Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the coalition of MQM-P and PSP would last for a short while before relations between the two political parties deteriorate.
Will the recently forged alliance between PSP and MQM-P inflict any serious damage on PPP? That remains to be seen come elections 2018.

PSP and MQM forged an alliance on Wednesday after a joint presser was held by Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal.
PSP and MQM-Pakistan agreed to contest election 2018 from the same platform (party) using the same elections symbol. Both announced the formation of a new political party.
