KARACHI: Former Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan said on Wednesday that a MQM-PSP merger would be welcome news for the city of Karachi and its masses.
Speaking exclusively to SAMAA TV, Ibad said that a merger between the two parties would have a positive impact on the masses since MQM and PSP both lacked general support from the public.
"We have seen the consequences of a division in the vote bank of Karachi," he said. "So this is welcome news that two main parties are reaching towards a reconciliation."
Ibad said that he was not in contact with anyone from either PSP or MQM-Pakistan hence he could not verify the reports.
