Mobile phones to go silent in Sindh

KARACHI: Mobile phones will fall silent in all major cities of Sindh province on Friday as part of security measures in connection with 12 Rabi ul Awwal celebrations.

According to Sindh Home Secretary, cellular phone service will remain suspended from 8am to 8pm in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and other cities of the province.

In addition to phone service, internet will also be shut down during the day.

Meanwhile, more than 42, 000 policeman will be deployed across Sindh to protect Eid Milad un Nabi processions.  – SAMAA
