ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Muhammad Asif said intelligence sharing is must for improving border management with Afghanistan.
Speaking at Pakistan-US Track-II dialogue in Islamabad on Monday, he said the United States should share timely intelligence and Pakistan would take action itself.
He said Pakistan would continue its fight against terror till elimination of the last terrorist, adding the it was due to mainly the anti-terrorism efforts of Pakistan that United States and Europe escaped many potential terror attacks.
The conditional policy dealt a blow to the Afghan reconciliation process, he said adding Pakistan and the US have had long-term relations however, Pakistan has strong reservations towards new US policy.
Voicing reservations over the new US policy, the Foreign Minister emphasized that the United States should limit role of India in Afghanistan, SAARC should be activated and steps taken for promotion of regional trade. –Samaa/app
