ISLAMABAD: PTI chief Imran Khan said on Tuesday that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz's social media cell and PML-N were attacking Pakistan Army.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Nadeem Malik on SAMAA TV, Imran Khan said that he knew why the PML-N leadership were targeting Pakistan Army.
"They distributed sweets when the Supreme Court ordered formation of a JIT because they thought they could control it, like they have controlled JITs in the past," said the PTI chairman.
"However, the MI and ISI members of the JIT sent on orders by the Supreme Court were not influenced by the government and did their jobs professionally which resulted in Sharifs getting caught," he said. "This is why they are attacking Pakistan Army."
During the interview, Imran Khan also said that Pakistani democracy should be thankful to Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa since he had always supported the system in the country.
