ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal Monday said a group of rioters led by a local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) attacked his house located in Narowal.
Commenting on remarks of former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Ahsan Iqbal said, “Chaudhry Nisar may say whatever he wants. However, I should demonstrate magnanimity.”
It should be mentioned here that the former minister lashed out at his successor who said the only fatalities occurred during an assault on a house—a reference to to the residence of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan near Faizabad.
Talking to Samaa, the minister said some forces were thinking that the government will be toppled as a result of these protest sit-ins; however, no such thing happened on ground.
“I am thankful that all the matters have been taken care of,” he added. –SAMAA
