QUETTA: After northern areas, upper KP and upper Islamabad, temperature dropped in Quetta and adjoining areas, as southern parts of the country brace for winter cold spell.
According to Met Office, minimum temperature in Quetta was recorded 8 degree centigrade Tuesday morning amid cold winds.
The cold weather conditions in Quetta send icy waves to Sindh; however, Karachi and other cities are still in the grip of hot weather.
Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country during next 24 hours. However, rain with thunderstorm is expected at isolated places of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Met Office said shallow foggy conditions are expected in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.
Temperature of some major cities recorded on Tuesday morning: Islamabad 12 degree centigrade, Lahore 18, Karachi 26, Peshawar 15, Quetta 8, Gilgit and Murree 10 and Muzaffarabad 14 degree centigrade.
