ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has adjourned hearing of the disqualification case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen till Tuesday, Oct 17.
Tareen’s counsel Sikandar Bashir continued his arguments before a three member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar.
According to our correspondent, the lawyer failed to satisfy the court regarding Tareen’s tax payments and income from his agriculture land.
Counsel for the petitioner Akram Sheikh objected to the land lease agreements submitted by Tareen and pointed out that these are not registered.
Sikandar Bashir will resume his arguments in the next hearing on Oct 17. – Samaa
