KARACHI: In the wake of recent knife attacks in the city by a helmet-wearing motorcyclist, the University of Karachi (KU) has prohibited wearing of helmet by bikers within its premises, Samaa reported Friday.

The serial attacker in Karachi has stabbed 11 women in as many days, as police remain clueless regarding identity and motive of the lone assailant.

Pakistan police announced a reward of nearly $5,000 Thursday for information that could help them nab a serial attacker who has created fright and panic in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the city.

The attacks began late last month when a man on a motorcycle began sporadically wounding women walking on streets.

They escalated late Wednesday when the attacker targeted five women in different parts of the neighbourhood, bringing the total number of women assaulted to 11 and alarming authorities.

His attacks were also caught on CCTV footages. – Samaa
