KARACHI: A woman escaped a knife attack at Karachi's Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, Samaa reported.
According to details, the attacker tried to stab the woman but she remained unscathed as the knife scraped the shopping bag which she was holding.
The attacks began late last month when a man on a motorcycle began sporadically wounding women walking on streets.
They escalated late Wednesday when the attacker targeted five women in different parts of the neighbourhood, bringing the total number of women assaulted to at least 10 people.
The knife attacks taking place in the city have alarmed authorities. Several suspects in the attacks have been rounded up.
Pakistan Police announced a reward of nearly Rs0.5 million for any information that could help them nab the serial attacker.
The University of Karachi (KU) has prohibited wearing of helmet by bikers within its premises.
