ISLAMABAD: An Indian quadcopter spying across the Line of Control (LoC) in Rakhchikri Sector was shot down by Pakistan army on Friday.

In a statement on Twitter, DG ISPR Maj-Gen Asif Ghafoor said that the wreckage of spying drone shot down by shooters was held by Pakistan army.

“Indian quadcopter spying across LOC in Rakhchikri sector shot down by Pak Army shooters. Wreckage held,” he tweeted.

It is the second time Pakistan army has shot down an Indian spying drone in a year.

In November last year, the Indian quad copter was also shot down in Rakh Chakri sector of the Line of Control, the de-facto border between the two countries.

The drone had intruded 60 meters into the Pakistani side and crashed near the Aagahi post around 4:45pm, army spokesperson Gen Asim Bajwa posted on Twitter.
