HYDERABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is holding a large public gathering in Hyderabad today (Wednesday) in connection with 10th anniversary of 2007 Karsaz bombing in Karachi, Samaa reported.

The tragedy occurred on Oct 18, 2007, when PPP Chairperson Shaheed Benazir Bhutto returned home from a self-imposed exile after nine years and was leading a big procession from Karachi airport to the city centre. Over 160 PPP activists lost their lives and hundreds suffered injuries when two bomb blasts ripped through the procession.

The party is observing 10th anniversary of the incident today.

According to our correspondent, the rally is going to be held on the outskirts of Hyderabad along the National Highway.

With a massive placement of chairs, a large stage has been set up at the rally venue where PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other party leaders will address the party supporters this evening. - Samaa
