ISLAMABAD: Pakistani business tycoon and Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz issued a clarification on Friday regarding his meeting with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, stating that he was not a saviour to anyone. 

In a series of tweets, Malik Riaz said that he had not met ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif for any motivation or personal agenda. The business tycoon said that he was not involved in any political tussle neither was he a saviour to anyone.

In another tweet, Malik Riaz clarified that he had met Nawaz Sharif in order to inquire after the health of his wife Kulsoom Nawaz.

Malik Riaz had met Nawaz Sharif in a two-hour meeting on Thursday. Speculations were rife that the business tycoon and former prime minister had discussed the possibility of a NRO-like deal.
