Nawaz Sharif to chair high level PML-N meeting in London today

ISLAMABAD: Founder of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will chair a high-level party in London on Saturday (today).

PML-N has started to plan a new political strategy after the Senate passed Election Bill 2017 with majority, apparently paving way for ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to assume leadership of his party.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has arrived in London from New York to attend the meeting. Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar along with other party leaders will also be present in the meeting.

Party affairs, political future of the former PM’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Nawaz along with differences inside the party will be discussed in the meeting.

The top tier of the party will also talk about the kidnapping of PML-N workers in the by-election.

The party leaders will also ponder on scrapping Article 62 and 63 after making amendments in the constitution.
