ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore on Wednesday froze all assets belonging to finance minister Ishaq Dar after he failed to appear in an accountability court earlier.

According to details, a ban has been imposed on sale or transfer of all assets belonging to Ishaq Dar. His assets have been frozen in accordance with Article 26 of the NAB ordinance.

A two-member team of NAB officials arrived at Ishaq Dar’s house in Islamabad to deliver the summon by the accountability court on Wednesday.

According to details, the two-member team of NAB officials who arrived at Ishaq Dar’s house included an investigating officer from Lahore and an assistant officer from Rawalpindi.

NAB sent the summon under the directives of the accountability court which had earlier issued arrest warrants for the finance minister. Ishaq Dar has been summoned by the accountability court on September 25. NAB officials questioned employees of the house regarding Dar.

The finance minister did not appear before the accountability court on September 20 but he could not do so since he was in London. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his children also did not present themselves before the court since they too are in London.
