ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday directed the Chief Secretary of Punjab to install CCTV cameras at all polling stations of constituency NA-120 and Printing Press Lahore for up-coming bye-election.
According to the ECP, through a letter, the chief secretary had been asked to immediately install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at Printing Corporation of Pakistan, Lahore and polling stations of the concerned constituency NA-120 Lahore-III.
The NA seat fell vacant after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualilfied by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Panama Papers case.
Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of deposed prime minister, is running for her home constituency. She is expecting a strong contest from PTI’s Yasmeem Rashid.
