KARACHI: A camel worth a whopping Rs 250,000 died on Sunday as people claimed that it had fallen ill after its owner had applied a chemical on the animal to color it black.

In Karachi’s cattle market at Super Highway, the situation was quite grim when a camel had to be slaughtered after it fell ill and was on the verge of death.

The people stated that the camel could have died since its owner had applied a faulty chemical on it to color it black. However, the owner of the camel rejected the allegation, stating that there was nothing harmful in the chemical that he used.

“I don’t know why he died but it’s not because of the chemical we used,” he said.
