KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly had approved a resolution two years ago in 2015 to rename Civil Hospital after the founder and director of SIUT Dr Adeeb Rizvi.

According to details, the resolution was presented in Sindh Assembly on April 28, 2015 by PML-F's Saeed Nizamani.

On Saturday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that the hospital has been named after Dr Ruth Pfau, the renowned physician who passed away a couple of days.

Sindh Government's Department of Health issued a notification, stating that the hospital would be named Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital.
