Pakistan willing to talk to India, Afghanistan: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said any talks with India or Afghanistan will be held on the basis of parity.

In an interview, he said he supports dialogue with New Delhi and Kabul without compromising Pakistan’s interests.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said it has been duty of the government to provide security to political leaders.

He said the entire world acknowledges that Pakistan has successfully materialized the LNG project.

To a question, the Prime Minister said Pakistan cannot make progress without having peace and tranquillity in Karachi. He ruled out any deal for garnering MQM’s support in his election.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said he will continue as Prime Minister of the country till he enjoys his party’s support.

The PM said he would contact other political parties for any changes in Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution. –SAMAA/app
