Musharraf

KARACHI: Former president and army chief Gen. (r) Pervez Musharraf will announce the date when he will return to Pakistan on August 12.

According to his party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), Musharraf will announce on August 12 where he will land in the country.

“If the government grants security, former president is ready to return to the country tomorrow,” said Chaudhry Muhammad Amjad.

Muhammad Amjad said that it would be unfortunate if Musharraf is arrested the moment he comes back to Pakistan.

He requested that Musharraf’s movements should be made limited when he comes back to Pakistan. The APML leader said that two NOCs had been obtained for the party’s rally on August 12 from Faisalabad administration while two were remaining.

“Abid Sher Ali and Rana Sanaullah have Musharraf phobia,” said Chaudhry Muhammad Amjad.

He said that if APML was not permitted to conduct a rally on August 12 it would proceed to hold one anyway.
