ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, while responding to recent remarks by former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, said that the ex-dictator is supporting dictatorship while sitting outside the country.
In an informal chat with reporters at Punjab House in Islamabad on Saturday, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) founder stated that the nation is waiting when dictators will be punished for violating the Constitution of Pakistan.
‘Will punishments be given to those who have dismembered the country,’ he asked and went on to say that everyone is safe as long as Pakistan is safe and sound.
Speaking on the Panamagate Case judgment against him and his family members, Sharif said that he did not do any corruption and was punished over not taking salary from his son’s company.
Earlier, the former prime minister was given a warm welcome by hundreds of his supporters upon reaching Islamabad in his first visit since being disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
