Khasadar Force official martyred in blast near FC check-post

PESHAWAR: One of two security officials, who were injured when an explosion took place on Sunday near a Frontier Corps (FC) check-post on Badhaber-Shaikhan Road in Khyber Agency, succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased was an officer of the Khasadar Force.

Security officials have initiated search operation in the area.

According to sources, the explosive material was placed near a Khasadar check-post in the border area close to Badhaber area of Peshawar.

A few days back, an explosion occurred in Hayatabad area of Peshawar, claiming the life of an FC major. According to the Inter Services Public Relations, four soldiers were also injured in the blast. The bomber was said to have targeted the FC vehicle.
