Qatari Prince sends new letter

ISLAMABAD: Panama case is making progress as a new letter from Qatari Prince Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor al Thani has been received in connection with the JIT's summons to him for interrogations in Panamagate scandal case.

Qatari prince has invited the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to visit Doha next week so that he may get his statement recorded relating Panama case.

According to the letter, Qatari prince reiterated his offer to record his statement outside the Pakistan’s jurisdiction; however, he said, “I will not be a part to any interrogation nor will I appear before any court.”

In his letter, the Qatari prince voiced his willingness to meet the Panama interrogators subject to the approval of his condition.

It should be mentioned here that the letter was dispatched to Pakistan through Qatar’s ministry of foreign affairs. –SAMAA
