ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court is hearing PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi’s petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan for ‘concealing financial assets and offshore company’ in nomination papers, Samaa reported Tuesday.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar is hearing the case from May 3 this year. Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Umar Ata Bandiyal are also part of the bench.

The petitioner has alleged that in his declaration of assets for tax year 2014, Imran Khan had willfully concealed his investment of Rs2.97 million to purchase a luxury apartment at Constitution Avenue’s Grand Hyatt locality in Islamabad.

Hanif Abbasi has claimed that Imran Khan concealed his financial assets and offshore company in nomination papers filed to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for 2013 general elections.

In today’s hearing, PTI’s lawyer Naeem Bukhari filed all banking documents detailing the money trail required by Supreme Court in the case.

The documents have already been put on Twitter by Imran Khan.

The documents show banking record regarding the payments of Khan’s London flat and from Sussex County Cricket Club.

The documents also carry banking trail of Kerry Packer Cricket Series and banking transaction of income from the advertisements. – Samaa
