KARACHI: A plain-clothed police officer in Karachi was purchasing fruit from the sellers and not participating in the boycott. When asked why he wasn't participating in the boycott, the police officer said that the food item was the need of his children hence he could not boycott it.

Seated inside his car, the man said that he ate fruit and that it was the need of his children.

"Yes we are with the masses," he said. "But why should I boycott fruit? My children eat it," he said.
