COAS, Chinese FM discuss CPEC, Afghanistan situation

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa reiterated that Pakistan would continue to play her part for peace and stability in the region.

The army chief made these remarks in his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The two leaders met in General Headquarters (GHQ) today and discussed issues of mutual interest and regional security with special reference to Afghan situation and CPEC.

The army chief thanked the Chinese representative for continuing the support towards Pakistan.

The visiting Chinese official acknowledged Pakistan army’s sacrifices towards peace and stability in the region and its prospective role towards regional economic development.  – SAMAA
