PESHAWAR: Irked by persistent loadshedding, overbilling and low voltage, dozens of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters besieged a local office of PESCO (Peshawar Electric Supply Company).

Bearing scorching heat, the political workers were raising slogans against PESCO authorities, demanding end to power loadshedding in the city before Ramazan.

The enraged protestors also chanted slogans against Wapda authorities and the PML-N-led federal government for the unending loadshedding.

The PTI activists were being led by local leaders, including MNA Ayesha Gulalai, who has been leading the protest campaign for last few weeks.

Yesterday, she led a protest rally against unannounced and excessive power outages in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The protest rally, which was also attended by PTI party provincial leaders and a large number of party workers, converged in front of Peshawar Press Club. - Samaa
