ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is chairing a meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI), here on Tuesday.
The meeting is being attended by Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sind, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Ministers for Finance, Water & Power, SAFRON, Planning, Petroleum, Overseas Pakistanis, Religious Affairs, Defence Production and Climate Change are also participating, a statement from the PM House said.
The meeting will discuss matters pertaining to distribution of gas and other natural resources amongst the provinces as well as the proposed national LNG policy.
The meeting is also expected to discuss energy and hydel projects.
Officials of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics would give a progress report on the ongoing census exercise under which the first phase of census has been accomplished while the second phase is underway in 87 selected districts. –APP
