ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Siraj-ul-Haq Friday advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down from his office until the investigations are completed.

Talking to media after National Assembly session that witnessed chaos with sloganeering, Siraj said it is norm of civilized  nations to quit the position after they are alleged.

It will be better for the government if Nawaz Sharif steps down allowing a free and transparent inquiry into the allegations, he added.

It should be mentioned here that Supreme Court of Pakistan yesterday delivered the ruling of Panamagate scandal case and directed to form a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate the charges of corruption against Nawaz Sharif. –SAMAA
