Four terrorists including woman killed in Urdu Bazaar raid

KARACHI: At least four terrorists including a woman were killed during a search operation by paramilitary force in Karachi’s Urdu Bazaar late last night, Samaa reported Tuesday.

The paratroopers said four terrorists including woman saboteur were holed up in a room; heavy contingent of the paratroopers took the building in security cordon and started the operation.

The operation was launched in Urdu Bazaar on identification by an in-custody terrorist, the spokesman said.

According to Rangers spokesman, the terrorists took recourse to firing that left six people including four paratroopers wounded.

The Rangers spokesman said a five-year old  child also passed away in the crossfire.

Huge cache of firearms and ammunition were recovered during the operation, the spokesman said.

The spokesman said the encounter continued for at least seven hours, adding three terrorists blew themselves up with the explosives.

In retaliation by the paratroopers, a terrorist was gunned down, the Rangers spokesman said.

The spokesman said at least four jawans of the security force were wounded in the action.
