LARKANA: 38th death anniversary of Founder Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is being observed and central ceremony will be held at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto today.

Talking to newsmen at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto yesterday, President PPP Sindh and Senior Sindh Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said all arrangements have been completed to observe.

He said, on April 04, 2017 (Tuesday) Quran Khawani will also be held for the departed souls of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto.

A Mushaira will also be held at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto in which noted poets across the country will pay homage to the departed souls through their poetry.

He said the supporters, workers and leaders of the Pakistan people’s party from across the country will participate with zeal and zest in the death anniversary functions, therefore special arrangements for them have also been made.

A public meeting on the occasion will be held in front of the Mausoleum of Bhutto Family this afternoon and will be addressed by Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Co-Chairman of PPP and former President Asif Ali Zardari and central leaders of PPP.

All the provincial presidents of the party and central leaders will also address the public meeting.

He said death anniversary ceremonies will be culminated with the showing of documentaries of Shaheed Bhutto to the participants in the evening.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Kashif Ali Tipu and SSP Larkana Umer Tufail Nawaz told media men the special security and traffic arrangement will be made on the occasion.

They said, over 6 thousand police personnel, including Women police, Traffic police, special police commandos of Sindh Police and Three hundred personnel of Shahbaz Rangers will also be deployed to ensure the law and order on the occasion.

The SSP Larkana told the senior rank officers will supervise and monitor the activities in Garhi Khuda Bux and Naudero vicinities.

An aerial surveillance of the surrounding the Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto will be carried out to monitor the activities, besides CCTV cameras will be installed at the different locations of  Bhutto House Naudero, Garhi Khuda Bux and surrounding of public meeting and parking areas.

On the occasion, Bomb Disposal squad, bomb detectors, scanning machines, jammers, snapper’s dogs, watch towers, 50 walk through gates with police vehicles and mobile will be setup for the security purpose. All activities will be monitor by the high officials of Sindh Police and concerned officials.

The DC Larkana said various medical and other welcome camps would be established and 60 fire brigades will be deployed at various locations, added the medical team along with equipped mobile hospitals and ambulance services will serve the public. –app/Samaa
