ISLAMABAD: Two MNAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz scuffled in the lobby of the Parliament House on Thursday, as Imran Khan’s ‘Phateechar’ remarks about foreign players echoed in National Assembly.

According to our correspondent, the brawl between PTI’s Murad Saeed and PML-N’s Javed Latif erupted when the two MNAs exchanged hot words over Imran Khan’s remarks.

Following the altercation, the two MNAs scuffled; however, some lawmakers present on the occasion intervened and averted the further clash.

While talking to reporters, Murad Saeed claimed that the rival MNA called his party leader ‘traitor’, whereas Javed Latif was of the view that the PTI MNA initiated the clash and abused him outside the National Assembly.

Murad Saeed is a member of National Assembly from NA-29 (Swat), while Javed Latif is PML-N MNA from NA-133 (Sheikhupura).

Javed Latif admitted that earlier he had called Imran Khan a ‘traitor’ during his speech in the house when he referred to Bangladeshi leader Sheikh Mujeeb’s speeches.

“I used the word traitor when I was giving an example of Sheikh Mujeeb’s speeches, I was comparing Imran Khan’s remarks with the Bangladeshi leader, it was my own viewpoint,  but the issues and difference of opinion should not be brought outside the house the way Murad Saeed did,” he said, while speaking to Samaa, claiming that the PTI lawmaker misbehaved with him.

“He is an immature child. Imran Khan must grow up his party’s elected representatives,” he said while speaking to reporters outside the Parliament.
