The untoward incident of scuffle between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Murad Saeed and ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N’s Javed Latif has charged the political atmosphere, with stalwarts from both the parties accusing leaders of each others for the fight.

Yesterday, the incident occurred at the main entrance to the Parliament House.

Eyewitnesses and footage of the incident showed PTI MNA Murad Saeed attempting to punch and slap PML-N MNA Mian Javed Latif while the latter was leaving the Parliament House.

Saeed got angry after Latif called Imran Khan a “traitor”. The two MNAs earlier exchanged harsh words inside the main lobby of parliament, but were prevented from getting physical by other legislators, security personnel and journalists who were present there.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has constituted a six-member committee under Ghous Bux Mehar of the PML-Functional to investigate the matter. The committee has been asked to submit its report to the speaker by March 16.
