PESHAWAR: At least two people were killed and more than a dozen others injured Wednesday when a suicide bomber hit Peshawar’s Hayatabad area.

Initial reports said the explosion was a suicide attack which occurred outside Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) office in Hayatabad.

SSP Operations Sajjad Khan said suicide bomber rammed his motorcycle into a vehicle carrying judges.

The driver was killed while Civil Judge Asif Jadoon and three women judicial officers sustained injuries.

They were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex

Bomb disposal squad, security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site and launched investigations.

According to unconfirmed reports, Imran Khan was also scheduled to visit the area shortly.

PTI spokesman Naeem ul Haq confirmed that Imran Khan was in Peshawar.

This comes two days after a deadly suicide bomb killed 15 people, two of them top police officials, in front of Punjab Assembly, Lahore.

In a separate attack, two explosive experts were killed while trying to defuse a bomb in Quetta. - Samaa
