Mazar-e-Quaid closed to public

KARACHI: Authorities on Friday ordered the closure of the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi for an indefinite period.

According to statement issued to media, Mazar-e-Quaid has been closed to visitors owing to security concerns.

The Quaid’s mausoleum will remain shut till the improvement of security situation.  It, however, said that the mausoleum would be opened for visitors as soon as possible.

The Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine has also been shut down for pilgrims.

Meanwhile, Sindh Aukaf Department said that 78 shrines of Karachi and other cities of Sindh were closed down indefinitely.  – SAMAA
