Funeral prayers for Parachinar blast victims held

PESHAWAR: Funeral prayer of 20 victims of a deadly blast at vegetable market in Parachinar, Kurram Agency, was held on Saturday afternoon. 

At least 24 people were killed and scores of others wounded when an IED blast planted in the vegetable market went off.

Inspector General of Frontier Corps Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood, Brig Amir Muhammad Khan, Commandant Tall Bridge, Member National Assembly Sajid Topri, Political Agency Khurram Ikram Ullah and people from different walk of life, and relatives of the deceased attended the funeral prayers.

Soon after the prayers, bodies were handed over to the relatives and heirs for burial.

Meanwhile, a shutter-down strike was observed in the Parachinar city to condemn the act of terrorism.  – APP
