ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Friday said it turned out in the courtroom that Nawaz Sharif’s counsel has no evidences, though they had claimed to have all the relevant proofs.
Talking to media after the Supreme Court of Pakistan adjourned the Panamagate scandal corruption case till Monday, he said a premier stands accountable in democracies, adding every single one whose corruption was unveiled by Panama Papers, had answered to clarify his name.
The PM’s counsels are seeking pretexts and are beating about the bush; this clearly shows that they have no documents to substantiate their case, he asserted calling upon Nawaz Sharif not to hide behind technicalities.
“Prime Minister could not know that his children have turned billionaire,” he said adding a leader should be ‘Sadiq’ and ‘Ameen’ (honest and trustworthy) as it is very difficult to find a person with such a character in the country.
It is vital to change the Prime Minister, not National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance, Imran Khan remarked. –SAMAA
