KARACHI: All educational institutions including schools in Sindh will remain closed from December 22-31, 2016 for winter holidays.
According to a notification from the Sindh government, educational institutes will reopen on January 2, 2017 after a 10-day break from December 22 to 31 across the province.
The schedule will be followed by both public and private educational institutions in the province.
There will be also be a public holiday on coming Monday on account of Eid Miladun Nabi.
The Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments are yet to make any formal announcement in this regard.
There is no word from the federal government and Islamabad also about the closure of schools due to winter holidays.
Is is noted here that many cities of Punjab were also hit by thick fog on Friday morning. – SAMAA
