Sindh govt announces holiday on December 27

Sindh government on Friday declared December 27 as public holiday on account of death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

All offices, autonomous or semi-autonomous, working under the Sindh government will remain closed as per the notification released by the provincial government .

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah said a large number of PPP workers from all over the country would reach Garhi Khuda Buksh, Larkana on the death anniversary of Benazir.


Former president Asif Ali Zardari has also arrived in Karachi from Dubai today. He would also visit Garhi Khuda Bukhsh to pay homage to her slain wife.

On October 17, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in his speech at “Salam Shuhda Rally” at had threatened the government that he would give a call of long march if the latter failed to meet his four demands till December 27.
