ISLAMABAD: Four bodies of victims, who lost their lives in Dec 7 plane crash, have been sent to Chitral, Samaa reported on Friday.
According to Pakistan International Airlines Spokesman, Daniyal Gilani, the bodies of PK-661 crash victims were sent to Chitral by C-130 aircraft today.
Reports said 34 out of 47 bodies have so far been identified in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), while the remaining 13 are likely to be identified today as some of the DNA reports were still under process.
The PIA flight crashed in Havelian en route from Chitral to Islamabad on Dec 7, killing all 47 onboard, including prominent naat khuwan and scholar Junaid Jamshed who was laid to rest in Karachi on Thursday.
Relatives of the victims of the crash have been waiting for the bodies of their loved ones for a week and 12 of the bodies were handed over to the families on Tuesday. – Samaa
