Train Accident 0900 Khi Ex NEW 0311-11

KARACHI: Initial reports suggest that the train accident near Karachi, which claimed at least 20 lives on Thursday, happened due to alleged negligence of one of the two passenger train drivers, Samaa reported.

The collision took place when Zakaria Express (from Multan) rammed into Fareed Express (from Lahore), which was parked at Quaidabad Railway Station near Karachi.

According to our correspondent, an initial inquiry report has been submitted to authorities in which official have said that the incident happed when Zakaria Express driver crossed two red signals and rammed the train into Fareed Express

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has also ordered an inquiry. – Samaa
