KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies took Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) local leader Faisal Shaikh into custody in Karachi during a raid on his residence late on Friday, Samaa reported.

According to our correspondent, plain-clothed officials arrived at Faisal Shaikh’s Nazimabad residence and took into custody.

Reason behind the arrest or any charge against him is not known so far.

“They arrived in four government vehicles and took him along without mentioning any reason,” Sohail Shaikh, the brother of Faisal Shaikh told Samaa.

While contacted, the area police expressed their unawareness about the late night raid and arrest. – Samaa
